"Are you gonna get that?"
"Yeah." Stephanie leaned over and hit the speaker button. "Hello?"
"Miss, hey!"
Megan came back out of the bathroom, "Nick, I told her and she said yes can you believe it?"
Nick laughed, "Yep, Meg it's all good. So, Stephanie, when do you guys wanna come up?"
"I dunno, when can we get a flight booked?"
"I already have one booked." Nick answered.
"So, you were planning on me saying yes?" Stephanie asked trying not to laugh. ]
"Well..."
"Okay, okay, she said yes..we're going to New York, so when do we go?" Megan said cutting into the conversation.
"I have you guys a flight booked Friday afternoon at 5:30. You have a direct flight from Dallas."
"Well, sounds to me like you have this planned out pretty nicely." Stephanie commented leaning back in her desk chair. Megan laid across her bed and looked at her calendar,
"You mean Friday afternoon as in tomorrow afternoon?"
"Well, yeah." Nick answered almost to quickly, "Is that a problem?"
Stephanie looked at Megan, who shrugged," It shouldn't be."
"How long are we staying?" Megan asked
"Until you get so sick of us you want to vomit." Nick answered.
Megan laughed, "No, really, how long are we staying?"
"Until you want to leave really. We start shooting the video Monday, and it should take 2-3 days. Besides, that gives us the weekend to do something."
"Sounds cool to me." Stephanie answered.
"Me too." Megan answered
"Well, I would love to stay and chat with you ladies but it's getting late here and I need to get some R&R."
"Sure Nick."
"You ladies can pick your 1st class tickets to NYC at the airport. I will see you to tomorrow night. Oh yeah, and wear something nice because we might just have to go out."
"Hey, are you saying that we don't dress nice all the time?" Megan asked with a hint of a hurt tone in her voice, but a grin on her face.
"Well, no. I just ment..well..I.."
They both laughed as Nick stuttered around.
"Hey man, we understand. We'll were something nice to blend in with all the other classy New Yorkers." Stephanie said laughing at Nick
"okay, I’m gonna go to bed before I step into it again." Nick said with a sigh.
Megan shook her head, "Ahh, you poor boy..go get your sleep."
"Goodnight guys."
"Goodnight Nick." Megan replied
and Stephanie followed," 'night Nickster."
Megan hung up the speaker and looked at Stephanie, "What are we going to wear?"
"Well, we have those couple of outfits we bought in Dallas last weekend."
"Yeah, that will work for a few days, but what are we going to wear after that?"
"Megan, we are going to NYC, A.J. will be there. You think he's gonna let us stay in NY without going shopping?"
Megan looked at her and then laughed, "You are so right."
With that they started packing for their trip and discussing all the things that would be cool to do.
"Hey, can I ask ya something?" Megan inquired trying to get the zipper on her bag unstuck.
"Since when do you ask me if you can ask me something?"
"you have a point. Does Nick have a girlfriend?"
Stephanie stopped what she was doing and looked at her friend, "No, why?"
Megan shrugged, "I was just wonderin, that's all."
Stephanie looked at her and could tell there was something else, "you like him don't you?"
Megan looked at her, she didn't have to say anything because the answer was written all over her face. "We're friends and all, but...nevermind."
Stephanie smiled, "You like him don't you?"
"WELL HOW COULD YOU NOT??" Megan shrieked in reply.
Stephanie smiled, maybe this trip could turn out to be a little on the interesting side. She didn't know that she would be absolutely right......
