Laura was almost ready when she heard a knock on the door, when she opened it she grinned. Kevin was standing their looking as gorgeous as ever, “Hey.” He said casually.
Laura tried to keep her knees from giving way, “Hi. Come in, I’m almost ready.” She finished putting the back on her earring, and then disappeared to finish her hair.
Kevin smiled as he shut the door, he thought she looked beautiful. He looked around her apartment, it was very nice, and decorated with art of all kinds. One sketching caught his eye, and he examined it. It was a drawing of a vase with daffodils, the picture was so simple, yet so detailed at the same time. He heard Laura enter the room again, “This is remarkable, where did you find it?”
Laura smiled, “I drew it.”
Kevin’s mouth about fell open, “You did this?” he asked looking at the picture again.
“Yes, I won 1st place for it in the 10th grade art show.”
“10th grade?” Kevin asked again
Laura nodded, “Daffodils were my mothers favorite, she always had a vase of them somewhere.”
Kevin looked at her and then at the drawing, he figured there was a lot more to this woman then he thought, and he planned to enjoy every minute of discovering what she was all about, “You are very talented.”
“Thank you very much.”

Brandi and Howie had kept the engagement a secret, only their parents knew, but the pressure was already on. Where the wedding would be held, what kind of wedding it would be, who would be invited. Now, they stood in the Atlanta airport waiting for Howie’s plane.
Brandi sighed as she linked her fingers with his and leaned her head against his shoulder, “I don’t want you to go.”
Howie smiled as he looked out the window, “You know I don’t want to go either.”
“Then why don’t you just stay?”
“Don’t tempt me.”
Brandi only grinned, “And what if I do?”
“Then I would be forced to kiss you, and we wouldn’t want that now would we?”
“Never!” Brandi said laughing. Her tempting got her a kiss and a grin He was about to say something when Brandi asked, “Why don’t we elope?”
Howie’s mouth opened and closed several times before words finally came out, “Why don’t we.”
Brandi grinned at him, “Vegas?”
Howie shook his head, “Even better, how about Atlantic City?”
“I like that idea.”
“Then let’s go.”
Brandi blinked, “Right now?”
“Yes.”
“But I don’t have any of my cloths or anything.”
“We can buy whatever you need when we get there.”
Brandi looked at him, “You really want to do this?”
Howie grinned, “Only if you do.”
