“She makes me so mad!” Alex said
“I can see how she can be annoying.” B.J. commented, “She asked Nick out right in front of you.”
“Yeah, but she doesn’t know we are going out.” Nick said
“Oh, yeah. Alex, if you need to use the phone go ahead, I’m sure mom wouldn’t mind.” B.J. said walking back into the living room where the rest of the girls were.
“I’ll just wait until tomorrow, but thanks anyway.” She then turned to Nick, “I don’t know how I’m gonna survive. I’m just going to have to find somewhere else to live.”
“Well, at least you have a week without her.”
“Yeah…what? A week.”
“Yeah, because you’re coming to L.A. for the awards.”
“I thought it was just this weekend.”
“No, we have to go for rehearsal’s and stuff. Its all week. You know the awards are Thursday.”
I thought you taped them or something. I can’t take off a week of school, I’ve just started.”
Nick looked at her for a minute, “Well, I understand.”
“I could come for a day or two.” Alex said hopefully
“Okay, so, when could you come?”
“Tuesday night. I guess.”
“Okay, I’ll call tomorrow morning and change your flight.”
“I’m sorry Nick.”
“That’s okay, at least you are still coming.” He kissed her and then headed back upstairs.

Alex walked into her dorm room and dropped her stuff on the bed, it had been a long night and now she had to go to class. She looked at the clock, she still had 30 minutes. She went to her desk and looked around. Sure enough some stuff had been moved, it had been put back almost exactly they way it had been but not quite. She was mad, and she was more convinced that she was going to move. She checked the message machine and was surprised to have another one from Colby. She thought that that was really weird but put the thought out of her mind. She changed and was headed to class when she ran into someone, “Oh, I’m sorry.”
“Oh it was my fault.”
Alex looked up and about fell over, “COLBY!!??”
“Hey Lex, how’s it goin?”
“What are you doing here?!?”
“Did I forget to mention that I got a scholarship to be your catcher? I’m sure I mentioned it.”
“You must have forgotten!” Alex said sarcastically
Colby dropped his arm around her shoulder, “Well chic, we are back in business. I hope this school is ready for us to win the championship!”
Alex grinned, maybe school wouldn’t be that bad after all.
