The Sound of Stings -- page 3
F. Davies Instrument Mfg.
The performer who purchases one of these instruments will enjoy
the benefit of being able to specify dimensions of string spacing (at the nut), and string length. Electronics are completely optional and will be included as per your specification. (My own instrument has no active circuitry, six channel locking DIN and locking stereo/mono (std.) outputs, passive master tone and volume controls, volume/pan controls for each string, individual pickups for each string, and I have used metal film potentiometers instead of wire wound pots.
Strips of paua abalone are used as decoration on the knobs, headstock, and bridge. The fretboard and neck are of one piece cocabolo rosewood (denser than ebony!), and the fingerboard has been artificially aged to turn it black.
I have selected John Gilbert's tuning machines (John tells me he was the chief tooling engineer at Hewlett Packard.), superb mechanically, they come in gold if you prefer.
