LOS ANGELES - They wore dusters, spurs, and black hats. One or two had six-guns. They
were there for the masked man.
About 600 fans and friends showed up under cloudy skies yesterday to honor Clayton Moore,
who played the Lone Ranger on TV and in real life preached the Western hero's values of truth and
decency.
Moore, who died Dec. 28 at age 85, played the role on television and in several films beginning in
1949.
