You know you meant a lot to Mike. You stood by his side through out this whole ordeal. You were there when he needed someone he loved most. I'm glad you were there for him. One of his biggest fears was dying alone in some hotel. I just want you to know he loved you very much. I know it wasn't easy being there for him and seeing him like that. It was a dirty job you didn't have to do. I don't know if I could have done it. I want to thank you for being there for him.
To: Barb,
I know there is nothing I could say to ease away the pain and loss you must feel. Please take comfort in the fact that Mike has loved you since you were teenagers and never stopped loving you.
To: Michael,
Men don't always convey the way they feel towards other men in the most obvious of ways. I know that you two had your issues. Probably cause he saw a lot of himself in you. He'd always hoped that his children wouldn't go down some of the paths that he'd been down. Like your dad you’re hard headed and go where you want despite what others say. It's not quite the bad quality that everyone thinks. As long as you learn from the steps you've taken. Despite what you may think your dad loved you very much. I know he seemed harsh at times but he acted, as he thought was best for you.
To: Zac,
I don't know you or your bother very well. But your father talked of you both quite often. He was very proud of you. Especially with how much you'd help take care of things at home. You took charge of terrible situations with out being asked. I know that things haven't always been good but you stuck in there. You were always there when you were needed and didn't shirk the responsibilities you assumed. That happens to be one of my favorite qualities your dad had. Even though he didn't have to assume the responsibility of problems he didn't cause he took it on. He was very proud of you.

Although Mike made friend and had friends everywhere he went. You were one of the few that stuck with him through out the years. Of all the friends he's had you didn't use him and were really truly his friend. He really treasured your friendship.
