WORLD NUMISMATIC BOOKS

"Handbook of English Coins, Giving a Concise Description of the Various Denominations of Coin, From the Norman Conquest to the Present Reign" by Llewellynn Jewitt, published in London by William Tegg, circa 1840 (the date of the last coin described in the book), in about very good condition. The small handbook has green cloth covers, with gold lettering on the front cover. Includes 74 pages of descriptions, and 11 color plates (including the frontis plate) of coins, generally presented as 3 or 4 coins per plate (both obverse and reverse shown). Gold gilt on the page ends, and a previous owners bookplate inside the front cover. Inside hinges are cracked revealing just a little bit of the spine webbing, but not bad at all. Everything holding together securely. A few minor pencil marks in the text. Available for $35.

"The Beauty and Lore of Coins, Currency and Medals" by Elvira and Vladimir Clain-Steffanelli, published in 1974. The 256 page hardbound book is in fine condition, in a clean dust jacket. A well done history of coins, very nicely illustrated. Available for $20.

"The Complete Book of Coin Collecting" by Joseph Coffin, published in 1967 (second revised edition). The 251 page hardbound book is in fine condition, clean inside and out, in a very good dust jacket (mylar protected). The book mostly covers collecting US money, but with sections on ancient coins and foreign coins as well. Includes 16 pages of plates. Available for $8.

"A Catalog of Modern World Coins" by R.S. Yeoman, Eleventh Edition, published in 1974. The 512 page hardbound book is in good+ condition. Clean with no page tears or pen marks other than a previous owners name inside the front cover which has been covered over with black marker. Strong binding, although it is slightly misaligned. "Coin Identifier" by Burton Hobson, published in 1966. The 88 page hardbound book is in fine condition, in a very good dust jacket. Available for $8.

"Coin Collecting" by Robert Masters and Fred Reinfeld, published in 1960. The 128 page hardbound book is in fine condition, in a very good dust jacket. An instructive historical introduction to coins and currency. Available for $8.

"Coins Through the Ages" by Laurence Brown, published in 1968 by Bonanza Books. The 184 page hardbound book is in very good condition, clean with no page tears or pen marks other than a previous gift inscription inside the front cover. The dust jacket is also in very good condition, with just a few tiny tears along the edges. Available for $7.

"The Official Guide to Coin Collecting" by Brad Mills, published in 1974. The 192 page hardbound book is in fine condition, clean inside and out. Pictoral covers; covers all aspects of coin collecting. Available for $7.

"Mexican Patriots and Their Part in Numismatics" by Dr. A.F. Pradeau, reprinted from The Numismatist in 1962. The 32 page book has card covers, and is in very good condition. Clean inside, but with just a few small brown spots on the front cover. Available for $7.
