Organic Law

Organic Law is contradistinguished from various of the other things that are also called law, or laws. It is not statute law or legislation. It is not necessarily either public law or private law, although its principles will address both of those bodies of law. It is not natural law, in the sense that the Law of Gravity is a natural law. It is not the Common law, although it may share principles with the Common Law. Organic Law deals with the parties to political relationships—with governments, artificial persons, citizens, aliens, and other people who might bear other status. It deals with the political relationships between and among such parties. It embodies the fundamental principles upon which such political relationships are based. It addresses rights, duties, privileges, authority, jurisdiction, territory, and other such political concepts. It comprises the fundamental constitution (in the sense of the composition or structure of a thing) of a society.
Organic Law may be unwritten or written. When written, it will exist as the fundamental authorizing document of a nation—a constitution. In that form, it addresses the nation's powers and jurisdictions. It deals with the nature, limitations, and extent of such powers and jurisdictions. It is the basis for all of the political relationships that can or might exist between and among the various parties to the fundamental authorizing document.
All inferior political behavior—statutes, adjudications, contracts, and so forth—within a nation must be an accordance with the Organic Law of the nation. Such Organic Law is the basis upon which all such inferior political behavior is conducted and against which it is ultimately judged. Organic Law is the justification for all such legitimate political activity and for all opposition to any political activity not in accordance with the Organic Law of the nation. Compliance with the Organic Law will enhance the likelihood of a successful future for a nation. Violations of it, if not corrected or if allowed to become routine, will forecast that the end is likely.
Simply stated. . . Organic Law is the political soul of a nation. by Sam Aurelius Milam III
