DAUGHER GONE ASTRAY
By Orene Elizabeth Harris-Custer
- I know this day
- won't be the same.
- But, maybe I
- can ease the pain.
- I think someday
- she will return.
- But, right now, she's got
- some bridges to burn.
- She's lost and floating
- in her life of dew.
- She needs my help
- to make it through.
- Please keep her safe
- till her return;
- safely and quickly,
- but, with time to learn.
- It's going to be hard.
- But, we'll hope and pray.
- That she'll be back
- with me some day!
