Rebant

Rebant is a large (5' by 3') painting in acrylics for a class entitled 'Applied Composition and Design: Symbolism'. It grew partially out of a sketch for the multimedia trees course from the year before, but was really painted as an emotional response to some personal problems at the time. The convoluted roots of the banyan tree resonated with me at the time and the red color allowed me to shout in color what I was not allowed to shout in real life. |
