Banana
 by Janine Minner

Smooth flat surface, basic
Medium yellow color, faint
Sweet fruity smell, very
Mushy when eaten, sticky
When smushed with fingers,
Symmetrical, monkeys love
Them, the inside is a pale
Yellow with a hint of white,
Brownish down the center,
The color of the sun, filled
With potassium, feels as if
You're biting into something
Calm, it catches your eye
With its shape and color,
Its a sunrise in the
Morning that stands out,
The color of its peel makes
Me tired, its out of place
In the hectic world we
Live in, it stands out
Among other fruits.
