We asked you to show your support of the AZ Christian scene by showing up to the first RAGE 3 CD release show at THE GREEN ROOM in the heart of Tempe's club scene. We wanted to send a message to the club scene that AZ Christian bands are a legitimate and vital part of the Arizona general music community.
ON DEC. 4, YOU SHOWED UP IN FORCE. THE HOUSE WAS PACKED. AND THE BANDS KICKED SOME SERIOUS BUTT.
Most telling of the success of the event, even beyond the numbers, was the reaction of the GREEN ROOM staff. The sound man said that 12/4's bands (FREE SAMPLE, D.TAILZ, GLORIFIED FUZZ, LEMONADE STAND BAND, THE DIETRICHS, and AMERICAN MADE) were better than 99% of the secular club bands that play the ska/punk nights. HE SAID ANY OF THE BANDS WOULD BE WELCOME BACK ANYTIME.
NOW, WE'RE ASKING FOR YOUR HELP ONE MORE TIME.
On December 9, we're hosting the second RAGE 3 CD release show at THE FIRE ESCAPE. This event features EIGHT of AZ's best bands. In some instances, you may never even have heard these bands. But each of these bands was hand-picked to play this show as a means of introducing you to them. Starting at 5pm, the show features SPORK, THE MECHANISM, BIIB, THE BITTERSWEET WAY, MARIPOSA, HEATH BOTTOMLY, JARED UTTERBACK, RYAN BROWN, and MICHELANGELO. Additionally, there will be a "surprise" set from GRAND AVE (the new band featuring two members of AMERICAN MADE). We guarantee you will be blown away, and in the process, we're going to continue to give out tons of free tunes. THE FIRST FIFTY THROUGH THE DOOR WILL RECEIVE A FREE RAGE 3 CD. But everyone else, will also get plenty 'o tunes.
