BRITAINS SPACE FIGURES AND ACCESSORIES
In 1981 Britains launched an ambitious series of space war related items including many vehicles and assemblies that could be modified and changed by plugging and unplugging pieces together. This was all very nicely done but did not reach the level of sales it deserved and the line was dropped in 1987.

Figures
The same basic body was used for most of the figure series. Humans had human heads with helmets that could be removed while aliens had "alien heads".
Britains then added pegs to the front and back of the body and came up with Cyborgs and Mutant Raiders. Cyborgs all had the same rubber piece with a head that plugged on top of the body and tubes that plugged onto the pegs in front and back. The six Mutants each had a different rubber head/body assembly that plugged onto the figure. The rubber part was then painted with what has become over the years a very sticky messy paint. Cyborg bodies were white and metallic green, while Mutant bodies were orange and metallic blue usually.
Britains then did a series of "Terror Raider" - "swivel" aliens whose; heads, arms and legs swivel at the connection with the body. They could be armed with a pistol or with a rifle that could plug into a hole in the stomach area. There are two different body colors, orange and pale green. I believe the pale green came first. Also short lived.
