Drinking Glasses: Pepsi Glass - Mighty Mouse - Star Wars Glasses - Coke Glasses - Walter Lantz |
Federal glasses are the thin glasses that were similar to alot of Brockway glasses in the 1970's. The 1973 Pepsi 16 oz Warner Bros. character glass set of 18 included: Beaky Buzzard, Bugs Bunny, Cool Cat, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, Foghorn Leghorn, Henery Hawk, Pepe Le Pew, Petunia Pig, Porky Pig, Road Runner, Slow Poke Rodriguez, Speedy Gonzales, Sylvester, Tasmanian Devil, Tweety, Wile E. Coyote & Yosemite Sam. They were issued by both Brockway Company and Federal Glass Company and can be found with either Black or White letters. The set was originaly produced with "Black Letters" then later changed to "White Letters" so that you could read the character's name when the glass contained Pepsi. This set was produced by Brockway Company and the Federal Glass Company in order to get the most glasses in the hands of Pepsi's customers. With that said there are four different sets of 16 ounce glasses: Brockway "Black" letter, Brockway "White" letter, Federal "Black" letter and Federal "White" letter. Not all of the 18 characters in the 1973 Pepsi Warner Bros. set were available in all the sizes. The most popular was the 16 oz. size. The 15 oz. size had the logo under name (LUN) and not all characters are known to exist. Slow Poke Rodriguez and Beaky Buzzard are extremly rare if they exist. Petunia Pig, Tasmanian Devil and Henery Hawk is rare. Glasses in Canada were available in a 10 oz. size.
