First of all, allow us to wish you a happy happy new year. Long long long time no see. We are extremely sorry for taking so long to respond to all the problems with the current ring system. As most of you know, the drastic changes made by Yahoo to Webring have more than paralyzed our system, and that of many other rings on webring.org. Sadly, we have been unable to secure a single member since the handover, and the many members without yahoo's "Navbar" or who have wrong fragments have either been kicked or sent to the queue, which we have absolutely no control of. We can no longer contact our members as we used to, while using webring's old system, and while we HAVE found alternative systems, we just don't have the power to move you all over just now.

We have reports that the fragments are showing up with pictures showing "Image hosted by angelfire". That is something to do with angelfire's systems, which no longer seem to allow outsiders to access it's image files. The issue will be resolved when we move to a new server on hypermart. Meanwhile, Oasis Web Communications is as of now, as good as a junkyard, still showing "Inauguration" on it's main page. White Star Line Ltd. has DISAPPEARED. White Star Line Foundation has DISAPPEARED, taking it's president with it (no phone, no address, no e-mail can be reached anymore). As for the tickets which were promised to us... well, don't expect too much just for now.

Lastly, please bear with us as we try to fix the thousands and thousands of problems that have arisen from the changeover. We will set up our OWN cgi webring server and buy our OWN domain name in the future, so as to not repeat the same mistakes all over again. We hope to start working on this by summer. During this time, please be patient, and YES, you CAN remove the ring fragment if it is destroying your site. It doesn't matter whether you are sent to Yahoo's queue or not. Personally, I wouldn't even want to be in a yahoo ring. The navbars are SO UGLY. We will allocate you a new place in the new system anyway. Wish us luck. Thanks to all those who provided feedbacks! The second Titanic On The World Wide Web Awards will be postponed due to a lack of response. Please don't make us postpone this months awards! Send in nominations NOW! TITANIC WEBRING MANIA
 
If you are one of those members with over 5 pages of webrings on their homepages, you will know the amount of Titanic Webrings that exist on the world wide web. Some of the rings do not even have over 25 sites in them. If you are one of the owners of the rings, we suggest that you destroy your current rings and make new ones with a different topic. When Oasis Web Communications opens, we will help you bring more members to your webring. So go ahead and create more webrings! But PLEASE! Don't make it "another" Titanic Webring. Currently, there are about 6 or 7 major Titanic Webrings. We are situated at 2nd. The largest one is "The Titanic Webring" (titanicmovie). The next largest is the "Official Ring Of Titanic Lovers" (titanicluvrs). Next up is "The Titanic Webring" (titanic). We are second (if you line them up according to the number of members they've got. Otherwise, we would be first!). Right behind us comes "Maryjane's REAL Titanic Webring" (realtitanic). At 6th is Jon Ostrowski's "Titanic Webring" (titanicring). These all have over 200 members in them. We have currently over 300 members. The largest has about 800 or so. These are the good choices of titanicwebrings to join. They are mostly well run and bring a large amount of traffic.
 
OASIS WEB COMMUNICATIONS
 
By the end of next month, Titanic On The World Wide Web will be run by Oasis Web Communications. This non-profit organisation will provide all existing members with the services we currently provide as well as many others. Oasis Web Communications or OWC will also run a large number of other webrings all of different themes and topics. If you would like to run your own ring, OWC will create it for you using Webring.org's sophosticated system. Once created, you will be given the password that will allow you to manage the webring. Once Oasis Web Communications gains reputation, the fact that your ring was created by Oasis will bring more members to your ring. The opening date of Oasis has not yet been confirmed. If you would like to join the OWC  staff, please write to us. Make sure you include your age or age group, your gender, your experience in webdesign and technology, as well as why you think you are suitable for the post you are applying for. Oasis Web Communications will also provide members with services such as helping with HTML and Java, etc. The services should be free to all members but we do not know yet. We hope that Oasis will satisfy the needs of all our members as Titanic On The World Wide Web has done over the past months.
 
TITANIC "ROLEPLAY-BY-EMAIL"
 
Ever wanted to walk on the Titanic's Decks through the internet? Try Titanic "Roleplay-by-email"! Roleplaying is simply "pretending to be someone that you aren't. In this case, characters on the Titanic." Both sites have won our first awards and we believe that both are really good. There was recently some dispute between the two RPGs, but with our help, all has worked out fine. Check them out at:

TITANIC - BACK FOR A SECOND TIME?
 
Have you ever dreamed of walking the decks of Titanic, and feeling
the atlantic breeze on your face as you head out to the horizons on a ship called "Titanic"? Well, your dream is probably about to come true. We were stunned at the announcement of the making of another "Titanic" which will be going on her maiden voyage in the year 2002. The White Star Line Foundation's Goals have been somewhat altered by the announcement of two other projects to build (or in this case
re-build) Titanic. White Star Line Foundation will soon be making formal agreements with both companies and will be assisting and promoting them. We have also been in contact with The White Star Line Ltd. , one of the makers of the future Titanic and have acquired a large amount of information. This Swiss based company is making a wild claim to be the successor of the original White Star Line, without much proof. We must all bear in mind that White Star Line was sold, 60 years ago, to their competitor, The Cunard Line. We will soon be making agreements with The White Star Line Ltd. to give our members more information on their project but will still maintain our agreement with The White Star Line Foundation. Ticket prices for the voyage will range from $10,000 to $100,000. Please note that this is only preliminary. Is this a dream come true? Will Titanic ever sail again? Will history repeat itself? Will Titanic sink for the second time? Will Titanic sail into New York 90 years later than it should have? Or will it stay and keep its anscestor company at the bottom of the Atlantic? These questions will remain unanswered, until Titanic is back, and once again, cuts through the surface of the Atlantic. But one question we can answer. Is this a dream or a nightmare?
