To Whom it May Concern

I am writing this letter in regards to my B of A account #4024 1120 1546 7571.
I have consulted with a bankruptcy attorney about my financial situation and have decided
to request a compromise from B of A in an effort to avoid such a proceeding.

The history on this account is that I had a balance on an MBNA account that was transferred
in February of 2004 when MBNA merged with B of A. I have unfailingly paid the monthly
minumum payment. I am 78 years old and on a very modest fixed income through SSI. Though
I would like to protect my credit, this bill is a severe hardship on me. I spoke with
one of your representatives about the hardship program that you offer, but it is not a good
solution for me at this time in my life.

I am requesting that the balance on this credit card debt be reduced to $7000, and the
22.46% interest rate be lowered to 7%, and I will attempt to make these payments in
accordance with any agreement that is reached and depending on the calculation of the monthly
monthly amount.

Please inform me in writing whether or not this arrangement is satisfactory.
