
Dr. Richard Koller received his medical degree from Case
Western Reserve University in Clevland
and completed a neurology residency
at the University of Oregon Health Sciences
Center. Dr. Koller is board Certified in
Neurology as well as Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
He is a fellow of the Amerrican Academy of Neurology
and a member of the Stroke Council of the American
Heart Association. He is also a member of the
American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine
as well as several other professional organizations.
Special clinical interests include stroke, migraine,
EMG, neck and back pain, and dementia.
Prior to moving to Bend, Dr. Koller spent 16 years
in private practice in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
During that time, he achieved the rank of Clinical
Professor of Neurology at the University of
Minnesota. Dr. Koller also was Chairman of Stroke
Services at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. He
is completing a 5 year term as President of the
Minnesota Stroke Association, an affiliate of the
National Stroke Association.
During his residency at the University of Oregon,
the Koller family developed a special affection for
Oregon and have spent considerable time in the central
Oregon area. This and a desire for a lifestyle
change has brought the Koller family (wife Peggy
and sons Jeffrey and Carson) to Bend seeking a
less urban environment, more outdoor recreational
opportunities, and a milder winter.
