Train from Halle to Dresden ....About $25 US---Quite agreeable....

Rode with Rick on the train although he went first class...taxi to the club, quite a bit of snow on the ground but none in the air...found a hotel two doors away-- I don't remember eating anything that day--There was a market across the street but not much else.... .met pH before this one and he actually brought me coffee and talked a few minutes about how impossible it would have been to play in Eastern Germany before the breaking apart of the wall

Met Tom and his friend from Poland who would be able to drive me to Berlin the next day....
Sat at their table and had some pre-concert beer and then stood up front to watch this one...no heads in the way tonight!!!

Could be mistaken, but it seemed the first 1/4 of the audience to enter were all dressed in black

Standing room, with tables off to the sides and back

After 'Nightman/Like Veronica' pH said "We had Sign and Like Veronica....' and in jest...'no chance for a violinist to play in those 2 tunes..." sG corrects ph saying "No it was 'Nightman'" ph... "Was it Sign?.... Oh Nightman sorry," ....

Then in German "from 'Sitting Targets'".... and played 'Last Frame'...I guess when he says that he doesn't know which songs the albums are on he really DOESN'T know....

Someone asked about the previous guitar..."It's safe at home....not being beaten up anymore" Furious ending to 'Last Frame' by both....

SG breaks string during 'Comfortable'....left but came back during the last part; plugged back in and didn't miss a beat....PH after : "My violinist has already drawn enough attention to himself this evening, so I better introduce him"

Sort of a quick dance intro to 'Faculty X'

Stranger Still with haunting violin from Stuart Gordon-Never better; hope they can get a full US Tour organized...it's been 10+ years since they've played west of Ottawa

Both appear to be in the best form ever!

After guitar set:

pH drank from a glass, containing orange juice [maybe something else]; and with the glass in his left hand jumped on the piano stool and played the opening minutes of 'Bubble' with just his right hand....then put the glass down

PH said very little during this...Introduced encore 'Shingle Song' as the "The decision has been made".......

SHARED A ROOM WITH RICK....He seemed to sleep fine; as tired as I was, I couldn't and don't think I slept at all; maybe a half hour.....

Waited for Tom from Poland for a ride to Berlin the next day....he was a half hour/forty five minutes late!!!!....but not a problem....

Updated my site on the hotel owners computer...He spoke no English but through his wife I assumed it would be without charge....Then he entered some figures on a calculator, insisting I pay...be careful
