Robin H. Gurwitch, Ph.D.

Dr. Robin H. Gurwitch is an Assistant Professor in the Department of
Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in
Oklahoma City. She is the Director of Early Childhood Intervention
Services at the Child Study Center. Dr. Gurwitch earned her Ph.D. in
clinical psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She
is licensed as a psychologist and a marriage and family therapist. At
the time of the bombing in Oklahoma City, Dr. Gurwitch was providing
services to young children with behavioral and developmental difficulties.
Because of her work, she was asked and then provided services to children
impacted by the bombing. Dr. Gurwitch received grant funding to provide
assessment and intervention services to children in the Oklahoma City
Public School System, children from the YMCA damaged in the bombing,
and to any other children and families seeking intervention services
as a result of this trauma. She has co-authored several articles related
to the trauma in Oklahoma City and made presentations on the local and
national levels.
