Yinsey, at 3 years of age.
IABCA International Champion, OFA excellent. Yinsey was a very stocky Fila with tremendous bone for a female. Her first litter produced 6 gorgeous pups, all with her bone, substance, and markings. Four of the boys had very hard temperaments, two protecting their new families by 4 months of age. Her second litter produced three fantastic puppies, again with her qualities. At 3 years of age, she weighed 115 pounds, and was 24 inches at the shoulder.
We lost her in April of 1999. We are very sad for this unexpected loss, as it came suddenly. Upon returning home from work one afternoon, we found her dead in a peaceful, sleeping position in her kennel. It is unclear as to why she passed on, and she will be dearly missed here at Frog Holler. We will remember her for her enthusiastic LOVE of life and all that it brought to her. She was content to live each and every day as though it may be her last, and she took great pleasure from every little thing - a slice of cheese, a pat on the head, a kind word, a ride in the car. It is our hope that her wonderful breed characteristics will go forth in each and every puppy that carries her blood.
