The pools fish well in most conditions and produce a good number of salmon each year. In addition to fishing, the lodge offers big game and upland hunting - and we have a "sporting clay" range for you to "sharpen" your skills on! Our location also provides excellent birding opportunities for the avid birdwatcher who wants a relaxing getaway, and in the fall, our renowned display of brilliant fall foliage colours create what many consider to be the the "best time of the year" especially for the photographer or artist! Hunting is, of course, a popular pastime in the fall. New Brunswick is famous for it's bountiful supply of trophy-sized black bear and deer.

The local area provides many attractions, including the Woodmen's Museum at Boiestown, The Miramichi Golf and Country Club, boat tours, ocean fishing, local shopping and tourist attractions, and not to be missed, of course, is the famous Miramichi Salmon Museum in Doaktown. There you will find a history of Atlantic Salmon displayed through art and artifacts. Other highlights to your visit to the museum include an audio-visual presentation and aquarium.

For outdoor lovers and hikers, there are many wonderful trails to explore that will make that "walk in the woods" a little more exciting!
