METHODOLOGY

1. Harvest the fruits/vegetables/flowers early in the morning.

2. Avoid bruising/physical damage to the produce.

3. Select only the clean produce free from any visible symptoms of damage/spoilage for further storage/transportation/marketing.

4. Prepare the solution of Virosil simply by mixing with water, heavily chlorinated water should be avoided.

5. Simply dip the fruits/vegetables in the solution for 1 to 2 minutes or apply a very fine spray of the solution using an Ultra Low Volume Sprayer to the commodity. This would give a remarkable difference in the quality of the produce during marketing.

6. Keep the produce in perforated/stackable plastic crates in order to drain off the excess of the solution. The produce should be free from adhering solution before packing in boxes.

7. In case of flowers pulsing/holding with Virosil solution immediately after the harvest would greatly improve the quality during its further marketing.
