Lizzy Williams

Lizzy Williams was born in Virginia.  Initially she painted on stretched canvas but found the cost prohibitive.  Most of her paintings are on wood which has been cast away destined for the dump.  Lizzy is completely self-taught and enjoys the recycling aspect of her work.  She freely admits to being a trash picker.  Lizzy has yet to paint a sad painting.  Bright colors and bold designs dominate her works.  People love her work because of the color and whimsy.  Lizzy also has a strong framing aspect to her paintings.  From the very beginning, she felt the nessicity of framing her work.  This gives her a feeling of beginning and end.  Separating the wall and the painting, keeping her work from falling off the edge.
