Above is a photograph of us in Crete, Greece in 1962 and next is our 40th. anniversary portrait

We live near Kea'au Hawaii (that's on the East side of the Big Island) in our newly built home, and across the way is our vacation rental studio apartment. A vacation rental is less expensive than a hotel, more like home. But the guest(s) provide their own meals.
We each had our own business in Marion. Bob
Lamb's Photography and Nature's Rx , but all under one roof! We will now work here in Hawaii.
We met and married in Texas, as high school sweethearts. Bob is from
Texas, I am from Kentucky. Early in our married life, Bob joined the Air Force and we
lived in Biloxi, Mississippi, where our two children, Robert and Valerie Lynn. were
born.
We were stationed in Crete, Greece and our lives changed there.
After moving there, Valerie just 3 1/2, suddenly died. We had many questions
concerning death, and because of searching to find the answers we became Jehovah's
Witnesses.
We were allowed to return to the States, and Bob got a new assignment on a base in
Sherman Texas, and while Bob was at work, a Pioneer sister, found Sammye in the door-to-
door work.
The witnesses were the only ones who used the Bible and showed her many scriptures
explaining the condition of the dead (Ecc.9:5,10), and patiently explained God's purpose
for the earth (Mat. 5:5). Sammye was thrilled to hear the "TRUTH" from the Bible for the first
time! She was baptized early in 1964, just a few months after her first contact with the
Witnesses ! That was more 30 years ago...so was the photo above and to the left !!
After some years of opposition, Bob finally softened and in 1973 he was baptised along with their son, Robert.

Bob and Robert both serve as elders (Robert in the Marion Kentucky congregation and Bob here in in Hawaii).
