Invitation to Bid

ISSSTA 2002

In 1990, the IEEE International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques (ISSSTA) was founded as a biennial event to promote international scientific exchange in the important area of spread spectrum techniques. Hitherto, the venues were London/UK (1990), Yokohama/Japan (1992), Oulu/Finland (1994), Mainz/Germany (1996) and Sun City/South Africa (1998).

Recently, due to the popularity of ISSSTA, a regional rotation scheme for the venue of ISSSTA was accepted by the ISSSTA Executive Committee. The rotational scheme is:

North America or Japan, Europe, others, North America or Japan ....

ISSSTA 2000 will terefore be in North America (since South Africa falls under "other") and therefore bids from universities and scientific organisations for hosting ISSSTA 2002 from European countries are invited.

Bids should be addressed to the Chairman of the ISSSTA Executive Committee
