Renewing member Charles P., from WI, has picked up a couple of new sleds: a 1968 Panther P12 and a 1970 Panther 303 Wankel. Braaap, braaap, braaap... Charles is building a nice collection of Cats. Not bad for a guy that bought a Ski Doo from me a few years ago! LOL! Of course, you might ask, what was I doing with a yellow sled... Actually it wasn't mine. Ya, that's it.. It belonged to a friend... Honest!....

Wisconsin member Cliff H. sent in a note with his renewal: "Hi, Enclosed is my check for a two year renewal. Along with my 1971 Puma 290 "Z", I just picked up a real nice 1973 Panther with the 295 Wankel engine. This sled looks almost like new. I am also restoring a "Nick-A-Boggan" pull behind sled that was originally built here in ........ (Wisconsin). If you come across parts manuals for the '73 machines, especially the Panther, please let me know. Keep up the good work."

Never fear, Cliff. I always try to keep the "library" stocked. Your parts manuals are on the way!

Mark K., from ND, sent in the following note and pics: "Went to Waconia and had a blast. It was muddy and they didn't dare put anything on the lake. There was about 4" to 6" of water in spots out on the lake (don't ask how I know...). There was still a good turnout for both the swap meet and the show. I had good luck with my '69 Panther 634 (took 1st in the unrestored class). Left home with 1 sled and came home with 3 (good trip). Bought a '71 Panther 399 (Kohler) for parts, and when I picked it up it looked real good, and it ran! Oh well, now I need another parts sled for my Puma 399. So it goes... The other sled is a '71 Moto Ski Mini-Sno. It needs work, but the kids will like it.

I also went to the Retro Ride in Ft. Ransom, ND (www.retroride.org). It is a small show/ride that is growing nicely. The ride is more family oriented than others I've been on. They go out into the trees and hills. They had some snowmobile games to play. It was a blast. There were quite a few old rear engine Cats and Sno Travelers.

I am still working on my 493 Mod Puma and '74 Tigger 295. I'll keep you posted. Catch you later, and keep both your skis on the same side of the trees!
