Task
As you work on your brochure keep in mind these important questions that we have discussed over the course of this year:
Essential Questions:
What is culture?
- Is it right to compare cultures?
Enduring Understandings:
Culture affects society and society affects culture.
- Geography affects weather/climate.
Using your knowledge from the class throughout the year, students will complete a travel brochure for the country that they will be visiting this summer.
Working in groups of five(5), students will create a six panel brochure that will answer the following questions:
What will the time difference be?
How will you pay for things?
What do people do there for fun?
Where do you want to visit while you are there?
What are you going to eat in this foreign country?
What is the weather like there that time of year?
Student Tasks:
In every group, each student will be responsible for researching one topic:
- Weather
- Money and Time difference
- Places to visit
- Food
- Cultural Activities
