Many thanks to Carl's cousin Martha and her husband Bobby for
providing a video tape with him participating in a medical documentary
about skin cancer from 2001. Despite the sad topic of this documentary,
it meant a lot to me to see how Carl talked and moved around.

These videos below were taken by my dad Joe in August, 1988
when he, my mom Nonie, my sister Laura, my grandparents Carter
& Charlotte Swaim and my grandma Betty Owen all visited me
in Boston. I had just had my 20th birthday a few weeks before.
It was a real struggle to speak and was cumbersome to move
around as well. I've since improved greatly in my speech and
moving around.

Here's a clip of my grandparents Carter & Charlotte Swaim,
my grandma Betty Owen and my mom in front of a basement
apartment I lived in. This was my very first apartment. It came
complete with 3 other roommates and unfortunately a heavy
occurrence of cockroaches and mice. Aggh!

Here's a few clips of the grandparents Swaim, my grandma
Betty Owen, my sister Laura and I. My mom & dad's voices are
mostly in the background. We're all just hanging out inside an
old hotel called the Lenox Hotel in Boston's Copley Square.
I really liked this hotel's old architecture.
