DB-AG 18 201 (Germany)
High-speed steam locomotive 18 201 of the DB-AG, is considered the fastest, still operative, steam locomotive in the world.  Its gigantic drive wheels having 2.3 meters (appr. 7 feet) in diameter. It is approved for 180 kph, but can go even faster if necessary.

It is one of a kind and not a unique construction, it was essentially put together from two locomotives, namely the Henschel Wegmann high speed locomotive and the high-pressure locomotive H45 024. The boiler came from the class 22.
