Union Pacific BIG BOY (USA)
Union Pacific's Big Boy were the largest and heaviest reciprocating-piston steam locomotive ever built. Twenty-five Big Boys were constructed in groups of 10 and 15 between 1941 and 1944. The last of the Big Boys operated until 1958. Since then, they've come to symbolize the spirit of American steam. Today, only a few survive to be seen at railroad museums.
