I have some sad news to report as of 2/1/2003:
The following items is listed on yahoo news this week: Angela's husband, Peter Shaw has died, at home, of congestive heart failure after a long illness. Shaw and his loving wife, Angela Lansbury, had been married 54 years with a very close family of three children, David, Anthony and Deidre, and three grandchildren. They had formed the Corymore Prods. banner at Universal and produced many films, among them the successful "Murder, She Wrote" made-for-TV movies that starred Angela. When Peter became ill, she turned down all offers that took her away from L.A. and even nixed locations of her own productions to be with him. Peter was one of the most handsome stars on the MGM lot, which boasted a squadron of great-looking men. He departed those ranks to become an executive at that studio he and Bob Weitman ran. He also headed the William Morris Agency's London office as well as its N.Y. film office. This gentle man will be missed by us all.
