Description
|
| A sports game in which you choose one of 10 athletes and lead them through a gruelling decathlon, consisting of the 100-Meter Dash, 400-Meter Race, 1500-Meter Race, 110-Meter Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot Put, Discus Throw and Javelin Throw. All these different disciplines require different skills - for instance, the 100-meter dash is pure button-bashing, while the 1500-meter race requires you to monitor your runner's endurance as well, and button-bashing will just result in him or her becoming exhausted. The jumping events are all about a mixture of button bashing and timing your button presses, as is the javelin, while the shot-put is purely timing and the discus throw requires you to rotate the d-pad through 360 degrees as quickly as possible, before timing the shot so that it ends up being thrown in the right direction and angle. Indeed, anyone who's played any other athletics title (like Track & Field) is likely to know what to expect, and, as with most games of this kind Athlete Kings was designed with multiplayer in mind, though it only supports two players at a time. |
