The Neskonlith Indian Band is located on 2786.7 hectares; services three reserves; and is home to 231 aboriginals with another 211 living off the reserve. The reserve was allotted by the Joint Reserve Commission on July 29, 1877. The band is part of the Salishan linguistic group.

The reserve is accessible by gravel road; has a piped water supply; and septic tanks for sewage disposal. The RCMP detachment at Chase provides police protection for the reserve while Kamloops, Chase and Salmon Arm provide health care.

Facilities available on the reserve include community halls, a band office, a garage, and a church. The band operates a 40-acre demonstration farm and, in addition, have an on-going silviculture program. A number of individuals operate small hay and/or cattle farms, a gas station and a store.
