The Kamloops Indian Band is a community of Shuswap People who live at the junction of the North and South Thompson Rivers in British Columbia Canada. Kamloops means "where the rivers meet" and for centuries this area has been the winter home for the Kamloops Band. Presently there are 860 Band members living on the 33,500 acres which form the reserve lands While the band is involved in a number of business activities, its economic focus has been the development of the Mount Paul Industrial Park and leasing of commercial property.
