The High Bar Indian Band is located on 1506.3 hectares and services three reserves. The reserve was allotted by Commissioner O'Reilly on July 25, 1881. The band is part of the Salishan linguistic group, speaking the Shuswap language. The band population is 36, most of which live off the reserve. The only dwelling on the reserve has a piped-in water supply and a septic tank. Police protection is provided by the RCMP detachment in Clinton and health care is provided in Kamloops.
