Rightfully said. Now unto the J.J. Awards :
First on the hit list is the Tampinco Award for the player with the most Defencive Interceptions. And the winner is : Mike Blackmore !! Blackmore had 576 Defencive Interceptions durring his fine year.
Next we have the Wung Award for the player with the highest +/-. And this year's winner is : Aydin Smith !! Smith was an entegral part of the Renegades blue-line and led in the +/- category with a whooping + 85.
Now it's time for the Bosmann award. This goes to the most improved player of the year. Drumrolls please ... And the winner is ... Bryan Louis !! Louis improved vastly throughout the season and found himself more involved in the play by season's end. One's hoping with Bryan's current streak that he cracks the 10-Goal mark next year !
Gather around ya'll , it's the Lazy Award. The Lazy Award is given to the player who has played in the least amount of games this season. So the winner is ... Thomas Rensleigh !! Thomas racked up a mere 24 games but he still managed to get a respectable 5 goals and 14 assists.
Next up : the Blackman Award for the player with the most goal-tying goals. Da ta da da ... It's A.J. McKenzie !! McKenzie had a great year finishing 4th on team scoring with a big 50 points to go with his team leading 8 game-tying goals.
Now it's time for the Indian award which goes to the player with the most points in the Spring Tournament. The winner is ... Jordan Cosulich !! Jordan was a key member of the Richmond Renegades club as he placed third in scoring with 53 points. He became a leader durring the spring tournament and his 5 goals and 5 assists led the team.
Next up on the list is the Johnny Award. This goes to the player who durring the season had the most short-handed goals. The winner is .... Yong Min Jimmy Kim !! Kim was another vastly improved player who came into his own durring the second-half of the season. Kim had a strong goal performance with 21 this year along with his team-leading 6 short-handed goals .
Now it's time for the BJ award for biggest surprise of the Spring Tournament. And the man is ... Christopher Bergmann !! The Bergamann played his best hockey of the year in the spring tournament and was 7th. in scoring with 3 goals and 2 assists.
Now it's time for the Norbert Harms Award which goes to the player who makes others laugh the hardest. And the winner for best joker on the team is : ... Micheal Hartmann!! Mickey had an superb season and finished 8th on the team in assists with 17 to go along with his 12 goals. You could always count on him for a good old joke or to make the opposing team's player laugh and screw up the puck.
The next award is the Chris Ooms Award which goes to the player on the team with the least amount of points. And the winner is ..... Travis Nordin !! Nordin compiled One Goal and Nine Assists in 48 games. He should improve next year!
Now it's time for the Cameron Euverman Award which is given out to the player with the most amount of points durring the season. So the winner is 51 goal man , 31 assist man , 82 point man.... Matt Greenwood. Greenwood was a scoring monster this year ! His slick scating and shure-shot slap shot couldn't be beat .
Next up is the Aaron Eakin Award which is given out to the fiestiest player on the team. And the winner is ... Pavle Djuricanin. Pavle had his first 20 goal-season ever this year with 20 goals. Alright , now it's time for the Johnny D Award for the most craziest player on the team. So the winner is .. after leading his team in game ejections with 4 ... it 's Dominic Jugovic !! Jugovic also had a career-season posting a best 20 goals and 13 assists while collecting 65 penalty-minutes. The Dominator even set a Minor Hockey Record by scoring 2 goals in 8.2 seconds ! But he will be remembered most for crippling player's and "accidently" bodychecking the referee into the boards durring the Spring Tournament Game against Kamploops.
Next up it's the Clayton Dueck award for the leading scoring among defenceman on the team. This year's winner is : ... Kyle Campbell !! Kyle was a leader on and off the ice. Among other things, Campbell finsihed 5th in team scoring with a defenceman-leading 16 goals and 31 assits. Campbell turned up the jets durring the end of the year and finished tied for second in Spring Tournament Scoring with 7 points. Campbell should crack the 20 goal mark next year !
Now it's time for the Jonathon Leeison award for most assists. This year's winner is ... Big Bad Gaelen Mogan !! Mogan dominated physically and some nights he was unstoppable ! Mogan led the team in assists with 32 and was second in goals with 27. His one January night at Killarney was unforgettable as he scored a career-best five goals in one game as the Renegades beat Killarney 11-0.
The next trophy is the Fraser Hartley Award which goes out to the team's unsong hero. And this year's winner is ... Matt Van Deventer !! Van Deventer played a key role on the Renegades blue-line blocking shots and taking names ! His 92 Penalty-Minutes led the team . In the Renegades final game of the year, Van Deventer was named player of the game .
This trophy here is called the Dan Westrop Award and it goes out to the Goalie on the team. Since the Renegades only had one goalie this year, then Ramsey Pretty gets the award. Pretty was 2 wins away from the majical 30 win plateau and his 28 Wins was a career-best.
And finally , the moment you've all been waiting for ... It's The J.J. AWARD for team most valuable player. Drumrolls please..... The 2000 Winner Of The Prestieous J.J. Award is No.7 Mr. Matt Greenwood !!!! Greenwood led the Renegades in a plethora of categories but most of all he was the captain of the team. His 51 goals where all spectacular to watch. 82 points , what a great season !!
