RENEGADES SNAP 7-GAME WINLESS STREAK !!

The Richmond C-5 Midget Renegades are having an extremely difficult time thus far in their inaugural midget ice hockey season . Last Year the Rengades dominated in Bantam but this year has been the exact opposite ! Richmond started off good with 4 wins in their first 6 games but than havoc broke out . The Renegades struggled defensively and suffered through a team-record 7-game winless streak ! The Renegades have been close in many of the games but just couldn't hold to the many third period leads that they've had . Case in point , recently the Renegades took on their arch-rivals : Richmond Midget C-4. The Renegades where playing well and took a 5-4 lead into the third period but couldn't hold on. The Renegades former captain Matt Greenwood helped out his new team scoring two goals in third to give C-4 a 7-5 Victory. Jay Howard and Tim Lin had two goals a piece , Micheal Knowles and Tyler Epp had two assists and Dominic Jugovic got a goal and an assist. Jugovic's goal was his 300 Minor Ice Hockey Career Point . New Renegade Captain Chad Oyhenart played well defensively .
The next day the two Midget teams met again and despite Carl Chia's and Daniel Pi's strong efforts , the Renegades lost again to their Rivals 6-2 . Matt Greenwood had a hatrick for the rivals , one of which was an end to end spectacular goal Gordie Howe would have been proud of. The fans just went wild !
Two days later the Renegades where hot off a tough practice organized the day before by coach Rob Howard and where ready to play the Vancouver C-2 T-Birds. Tim Lin got a hatrick while A.J. McKenzie , Chad Oyhenart , Darcy Pi and Dominic Jugovic got a goal each . Daniel Pi and Katsumoto Sakaguchi played well defensively and Goalie Shawn Scott made 20 saves in the 7-1 Victory . Finally the 7-game winless streak is over !
