Before we start , Let's congradulate Jay Howard for winnning a very prestegious award . Very Recently Jay was awarded the Richmond Minor Ice Hockey Player Of The Year Award . Jay worked hard this year for the Richmond Renegades and also spent his free time volunteering around the community halping others and thus strengthing the community of Richmond . Hats off to Jay for representing the Renegades with another award . If you remeber , last year , the Renegades coach ( From the 99-00 Season ) Charlie Cambell was named Coach of the Year for R.M.H.A.
Now let's begin the fashion show !! First off , lets start off with the grand Lance McGregor award . This is the first of 4 New Awards added this year to the J.J.'s ! The McGregor Award goes to the Coach and of course this year's coach is ... John Howard . John caoched his whits out this year . Even though the Renegades struggled this year , John's handy hints came in handy for the Renegades 10 Wins and 3 Ties this season .
Now it's time for the Step Daddy J award for the most Smartest Player .... And the Winner is ... Daniel Pi ! Daniel Spent a lot of time on his Grade.12 School Studies and had great marks as well as some sweat goals this season , his first with the Renegades . Daniel had a bi-weekly colum in the Richmond Review throughout the year in which he educated everyone about youth politics and how current events effects us . Daniel's Comments where the best to read and his Colum was the Most Popular this year in the Local Circualar's .
The Fraser @ Kingsway award goes tpo the Fastest Player on this year's team . This is a tough one as their was many speedsters on the team . But Tim Lin gets the nod . Lin left many spectators breathless and opposing teams speechless with his mathamatical exerts on the Ice . Tim had 10 Multiple Point Games in his first season with the Renegades .
Let's now present the last of the 4 new awards this season ... The Aladdin Majic Roses award for the Richest Player . In case you didn't know this award goes to the player who works a job , full or part and of course plays Ice Hockey for us Renegades . A few players , as this is Midget , worked jobs and had to miss a few games . But the money comes in handy for those dates after the Saterday Night games at Sunset Arena . This year's award goes to Renegade Team Captain : Chad Oyhenart . Chad had an exceptional season finishing 2nd among Renegade D with 19 Points . Oyhenart worked hard at his job and gets this years Alladin Award .
Now it's time for the Benjamin Tampinco Award for Defecive Interceptions . And the winner is .. Boy , looks like you have to come back here all over agian ... Chad Oyhenart . Chad had 303 Defencive Interceptions in 27 games to win his second straight J.J.
Now it's Time for the Norman Wung award for Highest +/- . Well this year there was only one Renegade with a + . The team altogether had a - 76 as we struggled defensivly often . But the one player who beat all the adds to have a + was .... Darcy Pi . Darcy Pi registered a + 2 in 23 games . Another first time Renegade , Darcy wasn't as quick as his younger brother , but was shure better Defencivly , ha ha ha . Darcy had a good season this year , another player who balanced work and Ice Hockey .
Now it's time for the Neil Bosman award for the Most Improved player award for this grand 2000-2001 Season . And the Winner is ... the Goalie , Shawn Scott . This was Scott's 4th season only and 2nd as a Goalie . Shawn played quite well for a guy who laced up the pads for the first time only 2 year ago . Shawn will be better and better with more practice and game experience .
And let's have the Lazy award now for the player who played the Least Amount of games . This years Lazy winner is Injured Defencman Thomas Bakke . Tom played only 6 games this year as he injure his knee quite badly in a freak scate boarding accient . Bakke had to have surgery and will be out for a while . Best wished to Thomas on a healthy recovery and hope to see him playing again by Christmas .
It 's time for the Andrew Blackman award for Game-Tying goals . It's important to tie the game as this gives the team a chance to win , and it looks nice when you're down and you come back for a rally . This years winner ... once agian , add another J.J. for Centreman Tim Lin . Lin , in 28 games had 6 game-tying goals . Lin definalty comes in handy when the games are close . Let's break now for a 2-Hour Intermission . Players , the Pizza and Pasta and Bread Sticks are being served . Fans and Parents can order now . Free Red Wine for Players ONLY !! The Indian award goes to ... It's a Tie ! We have a tie for the First time in the J.J.'s . The Indian award goes to the Leading Point Scorer in the Playoffs and this year two players tied with 11 Points . The Top two Centre man on the team : Tim Lin and Dominic Jugovic . Good job boys , you guys really shined in the playoffs !
Next up is the Johnny Award for most Short-handed goals . This year's winner is : He got 4 goals short-handed in 23 games , his name is Darcy Pi . Good job , another award for the Pi boys .
Now it's time forthe B.J. Sethi award . This goes out to the biggest surprise of the Spring , to the player who outwits all expectations and shines in the playoffs . You gotta love these guys ! This years winner came outta nowhere and tied for 4th on the playoff scoring sheet with 2 goals , 4 assists for 6 Points in 8 playoff games . The winner is ... His last name is very popular in the Hockey Circles . His name is ... Vincent Forsberg .
Now it's time for the Norbert Harms award . This goes out to the biggest joker on the team . This year's winner is Gaelen Mogan . Gaelen had a sub-par season scoring wise , but was good defensivly when needed . One of his shots broke the glass at the Sunset Arena Office . Gaelen had some jokes for everyone to tell , especially Yong Min Kim .
Now it's time for the Chris Ooms award given out to the player with the least amount of points . Well this year there where some injured players , so we won't count them , we'll count the players who played more than 10 games ... This year's winner ... Well , it's anotehr tie ! With 6 Points each , Micheal Knowles and Katsumoto Sakaguchi where last on team points but they played well when needed for contributions . Micheal had one goal and in his 2nd. Season , Kats had 2 goals . He also has a nice girlfriend .
The Cameron Euverman Trophy for most points is next : This year's winner is .... Jay Howard ! Jay combined physical strengh with catlike speed to win this year's Euverman award . Jay had 43 Points in 33 games .
Now it's time for the Aron Eakin Award for the most Fiestiest player ... And this year's winner is : A.J. McKenzie . A.J. was a high spirited guy who got quite upset when the oposing team's players mistreated him or his Renegade Teamates . Watch out fo the McKenzie kid , he'll kill ya !
Now it's time for the Johnny D award . This goes out to the most Craziest player on the Renegades team . This years winner , is Tyler Epp . Tyler had 5 game ejections this year and was constantly in the face of the oppsoing teams and occasionally his own teamates talken' trash and takin' names . Tyler Quit the team just before the playoffs started but Web master J.J. always liked him . I will mail the Johnny D Award to him as he is not here at the J.J.'s .
Now it's time for the Clayton Dueck award for the leading Defenceman scorer . This year's winner is Gaelen Mogan . Gaelen had 17 Points in 32 games . Although he wasn't explosive as last year when Gaelen was a forward , Mogan still racked up 7 goals and his shot was feared by everyone !
Here is the Jonathon Leeison Award for the player who leads the teams in Assists . This year's winner is Dominic Jugovic . The Dominator had a surprising year leading the Renegades in Assists with 25 and placing 2nd in scoring with a Career High 40 Points . Congradualations to Dominic on his superb year , hope you stay in shape this summer !
Now we go to the Fraser Hartly award for team Unsong Hero . This year we have yet anoter tie ... And the two winners are : Carl Chia and Yong Min Kim . Chia is a young player with strong potential . Carl had a great First-Half to the Season and should only get better next year . Yong Min Kim on the other hand came alive in the 2nd. half . Min placed 2nd in Assists in the playoffs and drew a lot of penalties from the opposing teams players . Yong Min can be a star but needs to play every game , not some .
Now it's the Dan Westrop award for Goalie . This year's winner is Shawn Scott. Shawn played 30 games and had 10 wins and 745 Saves . Scott will get better next year and get a few shoutouts .
And now the time has come , the moment all of oyu have been waiting for , the onew and only , J.J. Award !! Are you Ready ?? Let me open the envelope . . And this year's J.J. winner is ... Da ta da ta .. Jay Howard !!! Jay had a tremendous season garnerring 43 Points along with his 21 Goals and 22 Assists and was also very physical with a team leading 62 penalty minutes . Jay had a banner year and led hus teamates throug thick and thin . Best Wishes on you're future endeavours Jay !

Well another season has past and gone and this year's J.J. Awards have contimplated it very finely . It was a great fun year of Ice Hockey Involvment and many laughs where shared as well as tranquill memories . Hears to the good times ! Avious !
