Addenbroke Island, BC

N 51'36", W 127'52", elev. 35 feet.

Located approx. 55 miles north west of Port Hardy B.C.

This shot is taken from the helicopter on a short final to the helipad. Addenbroke was the very first station I was to do relief work on. It is a beautiful station, just on the inside of Fitzhugh Sound, which is part of the Inside Passage.

This is a scene on a cloudy, misty summer morning from the deck of my house. Two cruise ships headed up the Inside Passage on their way to Alaska. Sights like this are commom place at this time of the year. Dozens of these floating palaces make the voyage to Alaska every summer.

One of the benefits of living this close to the ocean, is the ability to slip away for a few hours, and go fishing. This trip was particularily fruitful, as you can see. The smallest halibut in the picture was about 22 lbs. The largest was just a touch over 35 lbs. Some fine eating there to be sure.
