D'vere was the twenty-first (006.05.03 - 007.05.03) and the twenty-third (008.11.03 - 009.05.03) Weyrleader and is the father of one of Senior Weyrwoman Nimaleah's two sons. He realized that he made a better Archivist than Weyrleader (rumor has it that Nimaleah was doing much of the attack strategies) and so began taking Arenath elsewhere when Cameleonth was due to Rise.
