05. What timeline is your club set in? Do you share background with any other Pern fan clubs?
Janus Weyr is currently in the 22nd Turn of the 10th Pass of the Red Star.
We share background with all the Pern Clubs operating on the Far Eastern Continent (Segel, Talkon and Visia)
06. Is your club off line, on line or both?
Janus Weyr is designated as an offline club because we do not have permission to transmit the newsletter via email from the Dragonlady.
07. Do you produce a newsletter? If so, how many pages? What kind of format?
We publish a bi-monthly newsletter, Ni Var Chronicles, that is approximately 18-24 pages Xeroxed on standard typing paper.
08. Do you publish on a set schedule, or irregularly on as as-needed basis?
Theoretically, our schedule is bi-monthly. However, Mundania has been known to play havoc with this on more than one occasion .
09. Do you exchange newsletter with other Pern clubs?
We will exchange newsletters if the other club is amenable.
10. Do you have any real world activities such as gathers at SF conventions? When and where do they usually occur?
Our membership is too scattered to do this currently.
11. Is there anything about your club that sets you apart from the rest of Pern fandom? Anything that makes your club unique and special?
Does being the only Weyr in 10th Pass Pern to have had a female Weyrleader count?
12. What guidelines do you operate under?
“No male persona on gold dragons, no female persona on bronze dragons. No use of McCaffrey characters.”
