Epilogue

Ally smiled. Her grin was almost covering her entire face. She twirled in front of the mirror. She was a beautiful bride. She stood still, and thought of Kevin. She knew something had brought them together—but she didn’t know what. But whatever it was, she was grateful.

As she walked down the aisle, familiar faces grinned at her. There was Brian, his girlfriend, and there was Kevin’s mother. She felt a sudden shiver—someone else was watching her. Don’t be silly, she scolded herself. Of course they’re watching you. You’re getting married!

As she came up the aisle, her bridesmaids scattered. She looked up to find Kevin staring at her. She stared into his eyes, which were full of love, and suddenly that strange feeling was brushed away.

Thank you, she whispered in her head. Thank you.

And she saw. No matter what sacrifices she made, she saw. And she was happy. For the quilt was repaired.
