Me and my best friend are huge bsb fans. One day we were at my house listening to the radio. They been doing this contest where if you are caller 100 you and a friend get to go meet the bsb at the airport when they landed the day of the album release for Black and Blue. Also, you were brought to the Black and Blue Press Conference.
My friend and I tried to be caller 100 and we could not get through. So then we decided to make up a song using the melody from shape of my heart and we called the radio station and sung it to the djs. The djs then said to us that a miracle was gonna happen tonight and that me and my friend were going to meet the bsb. We were so excited.
The day finally came and my sister's fiance brought us to Jersey City where we saw these huge bsb buses (they were the buses that were shown on backstreet over broadway). We drove to Newark Airport and they had an electric gate that opened and it brought us to where the bsb were gonna land. All the fans were put in barricades where we waited for an hour in the freezing cold for their arrival (it was worth it). They finally landed and it was amazing.
The boys came off the buses and talked to the press and then came over to the fans unexpected and gave us autographs and took pictures. I kissed Kevin and Nick and took pictures of all of them. My friend kissed all of them except Brian. Also, she got their autographs. It was no surprise that they were gonna be nice and care for their fans, but it was so surprising to see how much they truly do love their fans. Just knowing they came over to us instead of just passing by and hopping on the bus to the press conference.
After meeting them we were brought to the press conference. We had lunch on the way there which was provided by the awesome radio station. Not too many of us were interested in the food because right next to us were the police, escorting us into NY with the bsb in one of the black vans beside us.
We pulled up in front of the hall for the conference. About 100 girls were waiting in a line that wrapped around the building. Well when we got there, we got off the bus, and walked right passed the entire line of fans and went into the building! We were the first to hear the tour dates and while there the video for shape of my heart came on four times and all the fans were singing it. Also, we got free black and blue lights and a free Black and Blue CD.
Besides meeting the bsb we were also mobbed by the press all day. If you watch Backstreet Over Broadway, me and my friend were on tv when they scanned down the aisles of the bus. After the press conference, the radio station took us by Times Square. When we passed there, TRL was about to start and the fans thought we were the bsb because of the buses and they started screaming.
All in all meeting the Backstreet Boys was the most amazing experience that anyone could ever have happen to such huge fans like us. If it were not for the awesome radio station, we may never have met our favorite band. The jet was amazing, the day was hot though it really was like 10 degrees out. To top it off the boys were the sweetest and genuine.........THANK YOU BSB AND TO THE RADIO STATION.
Me and my friend have almost a thousand posters, 30 cds, all the burger king stuff, 13 books, the watch, the keychains, 8 videos, planners, calendars, quiz books, hundreds of magazines, clocks, photo albums, and more. We are fans that definitely deserve the luck that we had with the BSB. We just want to tell every BSB fan that we are just as normal as you guys and every BSB can meet them like we did or get as close at a concert as we did.......TRUST US..............If you are a big enough fan it will happen!
