My First Time Meeting BSB!
This was my first time meeting the Backstreet Boys! It all started when I couldn't get tickets for the August 8th concert at the Universal Ampitheater here in L.A. I was heartbroken! Then we discovered that Backstreet Boys were going to be on Jay Leno, but again, we could not get in because I was underage. In tears, I told my mom I was never going to get a glimpse of BSB. Well, my mom doesn't give up that easily, so we went down to NBC Studios in Burbank, California and she asked the security guard at the celebritie's entrance gate, "What time would the stars be exiting after the show?" He told us to return after 5 p.m. With great anticipation and excitement we waited at the exit. The security guard told us that sometimes the stars stop and sign autographs if the crowd wasn't too big. So of course, I was hoping the crowd would remain small. the crowd grew, and grew, and grew and my mom knew that Backstreet Boys wouldn't stop. Then finally, a small black car came out with Brian driving and in the passenger seat his girlfriend at the time Leighanne Wallace...well, now known as "Leighanne Littrell" Unfortunately, they quickly drove off so I was not able to meet B-Rok. But shortly there after, BSB's transportation vehicle came out and came to a stop because of a red light. My mom and I quickly jumped into our car and started to follow them. We pulled along side of them and I stuck out a sign that I had made for Howie. It said "Howie D. you're the sweetest! I love you Sweet D.! It just so happened that Howie was sitting on the side of the car and smiled and motioned to us to follow them. So of course we did. When we arrived at the Burbank Airport, I jumped out of the car and ran to their car, my backpack full of BSB stuff and the CD cover for them to sign. Howie, my favorite one (still is till' this day!) was the first to come out and he had this big smile on his face. We had made total eye contact. I asked him to sign and personalize this pic I had of him and was happy to. He kissed me on he cheek and gave me a BIG hug. Howie smelled like Cool Water and A.J. smelled like CK One. We took pictures with them, except for Nick because he was having some trouble with his passport so there was no time. We hung out with them for about a good hour and a half while they waited for their plane to San Fransico. We talked and they all signed my "Backstreet Boys" CD cover. Then we saw them off on their plane and said good bye. That was my first experiance with BSB!
