and the

Spirit of the North Telethon

A telethon is held each winter in Prince George to raise money to help with special projects and equipment much needed by the Hospital. Each year the Prince George Fire Fighters participate in the Spirit of the North Telethon by answering phones and taking pledges during the telethon. For the past number of years fire fighter Rob Ingham has coordinated the fire fighter's involvement in the Telethon.

During the Telethone each year the fire fighters also present the proceeds of the Harley Davidson raffle (about $28,000 each year), as well as the funds raised from the Allstars Baseball Game and the Oldtimers Hockey Challenge (about $8,000), for use by the Spirit of the North Health Care Foundation.

Each year about 20 Fire Fighters help out during the Telethone by answering pledge lines.

Both fire fighters and management work together to raise funds in support of the Foundation.
