CHAPTER I There was a boy. His name was Linus. Linus was 11. And he hated it. He lived in a beautiful town full of wonderful people and big houses. And he hated it. He went to a lovely, rich school full of beautiful people ...................And he hated it. Linus was in 5th grade at Sharpshire elementary school. He lived pretty close to the school, so he would walk there in the morning, every weekday. That was the only part of his day he enjoyed, walking in the woods. He would dilly dally through the forest, which would make him late for class, and it made his teacher very cross. He knew it had come from an old tree in front of him, rather far, but he still wasn't sure. Suddenly, he saw it again! It was a faint flash of deep, green light. Linus ran forward to the tree, it took him a minute or two, and knelt near the rotted trunk. There was a small hole in the bark. He peered inside. TO BE CONTINUED....
