The life-span for most Kellarians is 25 years of age, due to Black Eagles. There is no technology whatsoever, except lightbulbs (Ahhh! No computers!). They make their own clothing out of their dragon's shed skin, and wear that, or they trade some for the expensive woven material from weavers. The clothing style is much like nowadays, but it's just plain and boring, no stripes or designs or anything. There is no such thing as marraige on Kellaria. But, there is a type of male-female bonding that happens when a certain part of their body contacts another certain part of the other person's body (which is why gays and lesbians are not common. It's just not as companionable). The female dragons have their own hatching sands, and whoever wants to be a part of the hatching will show up. Its like that on Kellaria, you just go wherever your impulse directs you. There is a ceremony for Crowning, that is when leaders are chosen for a Citadel. Another ceremony is that of the energy-gathering. That's when the purples go out in a lightning storm and collect lightning to distribute to the people for their lightbulbs.
There are five different seasons on Kellaria. They have spring, which is sunny mostly, summer, which is so baking hot in the midday that you can't go outside without getting sunburnt, autumn, which is the nicest season of all there, winter, which is cold and frosty, and the Rainy season, when it rains and rains and rains some more. The desert people hold a festival in this season, seing as how this is about the only time it rains in their section of Kellaria.
