Dragons

Dragons are mammals, despite the fact that they have scales and metallic skin. Underneath this skin lies warm-blooded skin; the scales were encorporated into the genetic makeup of dragons gradually as they evolved and became a warrior species against the pashe-ki. Their internal anatomy is like that of any other warm-blooded animal, however, their skin layer is much thicker. This accounts for why the dragons can fly so high and fast without being affected by temperature and windspeed and flying objectiles. Also, they have a thick, transparent inner eyelid to protect their eyes, but still be able to see out of. Unlike popular myth, these dragons don't breathe fire. Instead they have genetic abilities, which are explained below. Dragons are carnivores, but their favorite food is usually Taeka (taeka are deer-like creatures, plentiful on Kellaria). However, the dragons limit themselves and only hunt in their Citadels' specified hunting grounds. The average sized dragon hunts twice a day for sufficient food. They, like all others, need a daily supply of water also.
