“The Voyager Conspiracy” didn’t affect me in either a bad or a good way. I will mention a few points though:
LOVED the photonic flea cam. (You know, where you are seeing from the insect’s point of view.) B’Elanna’s “Borg practical joke” comment was priceless.
The unique fade-out was awesome when Seven was rambling on to the Captain about what transpired on various stardates.
I found that the Janeway/Seven scene inside the Delta Flyer was very reminiscent of the scene between Tuvok and Seven in “The Raven”. The same kind of thing was going on; with Seven erecting a forcefield to contain the unwanted passenger and them trying to talk her out of her paranoid state.
Janeway’s “two to beam out” comment seemed pretty funny to me. What, just let the Delta Flyer drift away? I know that’s not what she meant, but still…
Think about this for a moment. Wouldn’t a candlelight dinner for two, with romantic music in the background constitute a date? If so, what is Janeway doing dating her first officer? Isn’t this breaking her no-dating-subordinates rule? And has this little ritual become a daily thing?
I did not like the ending one bit. What a way to end an episode: “Did you poison the coffee?” “No more than I usually do.” It just seemed a little trivial. Usually Voyager endings are more touching than that. That’s part of the reason why I enjoy the show so much. The endings can make or break the whole episode for me. And for this one, it sure didn’t work wonders.
Bottom Line: A blah episode.

This was a really cool episode. I thought the writing was excellent and Jeri Ryan did a superb job of acting as usual. I thought that it was a very well thought out episode, especially since a lot of things have still not been explained...
Take for instance the tri-cobalt devices. Just why were they installed on Voyager since it was not standard issue?
What was that tractor beam seen in the playback of the explosion of the Caretakers array?
Where did the Caretaker-like technology in the catapult come from?
This story got me thinking, and kept me thinking long after the show was over.
I liked Tom’s: “Learning while you sleep. I tried that once, it gave me a headache.”
I liked the flashback scenes showing different events that had taken place.
I thought that the special effects used to simulate the aliens ship going through the catapult were pretty neat.
I loved the way Seven got the Captain and Chakotay leery of each other. I especially enjoyed the scene where they both end up in Cargo Bay 2 wearing phasers. I liked the looks Seven gave to members of the crew in the hallway when she became really phobic: even distrusting Naomi Wildman.
It was interesting to see the Captain and Chakotay eating together by candlelight in Janeways quarters not once but twice in this ep. What’s up with that??? Are they having a relationship?? Is Janeway leading poor Chakotay on again?!
I thought it was touching near the end when Janeway recited stardates to Seven about her progress aboard Voyager. And of course Seven correcting her was cute~!!
This was an awesome episode... one of my favorites in a year with many high caliber shows. I like this one especially because in the end, you never really know... Janeway could still be in some covert Delta Quadrant mission after all...
