Did anyone else feel sorry for Harry in this episode? First he was ignored after making the comment that he didn't get a little box on his chair. (Does he even have a chair?) I think that if Tom could get his rank reinstated after just one year, Harry certainly deserves a promotion after serving six faithul years aboard Voyager.
Harry was again ignored when he reacted to the Borg Queen's comment of "See you soon, Harry," with something along the lines of, "What was that supposed to mean?" (What was that all about, anyway?)
Wow, was Janeway ever grumpy! I find myself liking her less and less each episode.
I liked the idea of the Borg "hidden camera". It was cool to see inside Unimatrix Zero and the Borg cube from that point of view. (By the way, did they ever say how the drones in Unimatrix Zero got Seven to come back there in the first place?)
I felt so bad when the Delta Flyer blew up. I loved that little shuttle!
What a relief! I'm so glad Seven dumped her former "boyfriend". Perhaps she is waiting for The Doctor to make his move?! :)
Okay, what was that all about when The Doctor reported that Tuvok, Janeway, and B'Elanna's lifesigns were destabilizing and Chakotay replied "So far, so good"? Did I miss something?
I think if I wouldn't have known beforehand that a few members of the crew were going to be assimilated I would have been much more surprised. No more spoilers for me!
Yuck, yuck, YUCK! Janeway as a Borg really grossed me out.
"Unimatrix Zero" was very entertaining and a nice change. There were a few confusing scenes, but otherwise I think it's fair to say that this was a nice season ender.
Bottom Line: The Borg are back (again)! Gotta love the queen!

For some reason, I couldn't help feeling a little disturbed by this weeks cliffhanger episode. Captain Kathryn Janeway's attitude really got under my skin this week. I'm really starting to agree with some people that she's not a good Captain. When someone starts not caring whether they break Starfleet rules in order to go on some little mission that may or may not save some drones, I start to get worried. What makes this different from what Captain Ransom did in "Equinox"? Sure, he killed lifeforms in order to help his crew get home, but Janeway is putting 150 or so innocent crew members in jeopardy while she goes off on her latest tangent. As well, she was terribly rude and condescending to the Doctor and Harry Kim. She also acts like a big shot and pretends to know what the Borg Queen is thinking after her conversation with her. The Captain has no idea what she is thinking and is a fool to underestimate the Borg. I truly believe everything she has acheived in the past six years has been by pure luck and/or the hard work of exceptional members of her crew who have saved her butt too many times.
Well, now that I got that off my chest, let me get to what I did like about the show!
I thought the decapitation shots of the Borg were kind of neat (though a little gross!)
I liked the Paris/Torres interaction in this ep. I was starting to think that they were not together anymore. It was nice to see some warmth between them.
Now, back to the things I didn't like...
I was cringing every time that Seven and the male Drone were together. I'll be truthful, I was scared that some type of fling would get started, but was relieved when Seven said that their past was irrelevant. One can only hope that she won't cave in during Part Two. The Doctor is so perfect for her it could make me cry.... WHY CAN'T SHE SEE?
OK, just what is the threat of Unimatrix One?? I don't get it. The drones had been going there at least 18 years (Seven and her "friend" were there that long) and nothing destructive had come of it until Janeway put her big nose into their business. So what gives??
Tom got reinstated to Lieutenant for what? Being late for Sickbay and Bridge shifts? Having a less than stellar attitude? It's gotta be that Janeway is getting nostalgic about their alien love back in "Threshold" because I can't think of any other reason for him to get it instead of Harry. Now I've never been a great admirer of Ensign Kim, but I do have to admit that he is much more deserving of a promotion than Tom.
A small thing about the Doctor pointing out that Seven had her "first" dream. Didn't she have a lonely snow dream in "One"?
I found the scene between Janeway and Chakotay to be very unbelievable. I don't think that Chakotay would have agreed with the Captain's decision on what to do with the Borg. It didn't match any of his previous actions.
One more thing... in the Next Gen Episode "I, Borg" it was agreed that releasing a virus into the Borg Collective was wrong. Captain Picard at first wanted to do it out of revenge but finally was brought to realize through "Hugh" the Borg drone that it was morally wrong. Here, Janeway is ready to release some sort of virus into the plexus of the Borg Cube. This only proves what an inferior, self serving captain she is compared to Picard. Now that she has been assimilated, one can only dread what Prime Directive-breaking revenge hell she'll stir up if she regains her humanity.
All in all, the acting by the Borg Queen and special effects saved the show for me. If not for that, I would have been totally disgusted.
